Zartaj Gul is a Pakistani politician who is well known Minister of State for Climate Change, in office since 5 October 2018. She is a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018.
Zartaj Gul was born on 17 October 1984 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Wazir Ahmad Zai, chief engineer of WAPDA, and belongs to the Wazir tribe. Gul obtained her early education in her native town Bannu and Miramshah before moving to Lahore with her family.
Zartaj attended Queen Mary College for her undergraduate studies and then the National College of Arts for her postgraduate studies. Zartaj Gul did Textile Designing at the National College of Arts.
After completing her education, Gul joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and became a volunteer with Insaf Student Forum (ISF) in 2005. Zartaj moved to Dera Ghazi Khan after getting married in 2010.

Zartaj Gul career
Zartaj Gul ran for the seat of the National Assembly of Pakistan as a competitor of PTI from Constituency NA-172 in 2013. Gul received 38,643 votes and lost the seat to Hafiz Abdul Kareem. Gul was chosen for the National Assembly as a competitor of PTI from NA-191. Zartaj Gul got 79,817 votes and vanquished Awais Leghari.
On 5 October 2018, Zartaj was named Minister of State for Climate Change. Gul was broadly censured for utilizing her situation to impact NACTA in the arrangement of her sister in the power, In June 2019. Pakistan ex-prime minister Imran Khan paid heed to the circumstance. So, Gul write a letter to NACTA for her sister’s arrangement was pulled back and the issue was settled
