Dr. Chinelo Megafu was a doctor with the Nigerian Medical Association and she passed away on Monday night due to a terrorist attack on her train. The statement from the medical association said that “The President of the Nigerian Medical Association, Prof (Dr) Innocent AO Ujah, FNMA, and indeed all Medical and Dental Practitioners under the auspices of NMA are deeply saddened by the tragic, horrific and preventable death of our members, Dr. Chinelo Megafu Nwando, who is reported to have lost her life from injuries sustained from a bullet shot when the train she traveled in from Abuja to Kaduna was attacked by suspected bandits.”

Dr. Megafu Chinelo Death Cause

The young doctor was killed on Monday 28th of March in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack. The statement is that the gunmen had blown up the rail track, and they launched an attack on the passengers. Dr. Chinelo was one of the over 970 passengers who traveled on the train when the terrorists attacked. After the attack, Dr.Megafu Chinelo took to her Twitter at 9:43 pm to ask Nigerians to pray for her.

Dr. Chinelo had tweeted.

I’m in the train . I have been shot please pray for me.

Dr. Megafu Chinelo Attack

Dr.Megafu Chinelo is a doctor with the Nigerian Medical Association and she was shot by a terrorist. There was a statement released by the Nigerian Medical Association said that “The untimely death of the young, promising Dr.Megafu Chinelo who served at the Kaduna State Dental Centre and worked with the St Gerrard’s Hospital, Kakuri while striving to earn an honest living is one other death too many. The Association notes that needless bloodletting and senseless loss of lives is very fast becoming a recurrent decimal in our country, thus worsening the alarming effects of brain drain, which in very instances have been attributable to the worsening security situation in the country.”
