Nusrat Munir ul-Ghani was born on the 1st of September 1972 in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. By profession, she is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Welden in East Sussex since 2015. She completed her education at Bordesley Green Girls School and then she joined Birmingham City University and graduated with a BA. in government and politics. She also did a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Leeds.

She was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department of Transport and Lord Commissioner to HM Treasury. In January 2018, she was appointed an assistant whip and a minister in the Transport Department. In 2022, Ghani said she was sacked as Transport Minister 2020 because she was a Muslim. Nusrat Munir ul-Ghani married David Wheeldon in 2002 and they have two children.
