Early Life(Birth Date, Born Place & Family Information)

Blessing Lung’aho was born in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. He hails from the Abaluhya community of Kenya. The blessing was born in a family of four to his mother who is a professor of Literature and his late father who was an Accountant. He pursued Accountancy just because his father was one. On the contrary, his heart was in film and television. He went to Kakamega High School for his secondary education. He then went to the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting.

Apart from acting, the hunk has been able to grace our screens as a TV Commercial model, both locally and internationally. He shot an advert for Coca-cola in South Africa as well as a Dairy Best commercial in Uganda. He has also been in a Carlo Rossi advert in Malaysia. By the way, he is the Zuku man.

 Career-

Blessing is now acting as ‘Madiba’ on the newly premiered Zora drama series on Citizen television. If you think that this is the first time that Blessing Lung’aho is gracing your screens, then you thought wrong. He first started acting after he randomly met a guy called Guta on the streets. Guta then walked up to him and told him that he was casting for a commercial and he would be the perfect role for the cast.

Since there are so many conmen around, he took his business account and brushed it off as he headed away. After sharing the encounter with one of his friends, he told him that he knew the guy and that he should call him. After going in for an audition, that is how he landed the role. They discussed payments and that is how his life changed for the better.

His biggest breakthrough came in to be one of the saddest days of his life. He had five roles to ace; three commercials and two TV Shows. He called his dad to tell him about the auditions but the dad was driving so he promised to call him back. It was on a Thursday. Two days later, he had neither heard from his father nor from the casting guys. On Sunday, his aunt called him with sad news; his father had passed on.

After the death of his father, he decided to quit his accounting job and decided to pursue acting as a career. With that, he has been able to act in not only local but also in international drama shows. His best actor is Alan Oyugi since he is a natural at what he does. As mentioned earlier on, he was also featured in the recently concluded Maria as ‘Mejja’.

His lowest moment in life was when his beloved father passed on. With the saying ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade out of them’ in mind, he decided to turn a sad thing into a positive course. With that, he quit his accounting job and decided to pursue acting as a career, something he is so happy about.
